Visa for Conducting Business in Japan
A business visa to Japan, which can be single or multiple-entry, is provided to individuals who are visiting Japan for business-related activities such as engaging in business discussions, signing contracts, providing after-sales service for machinery imported into Japan, and more.
For the application of a multiple-entry visa, the applicant needs to satisfy the following conditions:
They must possess a passport from one of the countries in the Near Middle East, Asia Pacific, East Central Africa, Europe, or Latin America.
They should have held a top-management role for at least 1 year in a company that aligns with one of the following profiles:
A company listed on the stock exchange (this could be in Singapore, Japan, or another country)
A national or state-owned enterprise
A joint venture with a company listed on the Japanese stock exchange
A company engaged in frequent trade with a company listed on the Japanese stock exchange
A member of the local Japanese Chamber of Commerce that has an operational base or a contact address in Japan.
The spouses or children of applicants who fulfill these requirements are also qualified to apply for a multiple-entry visa to Japan.
The duration for which a business visa to Japan is granted typically ranges from 1 to 5 years. However, the validity of the visa depends on factors such as the applicant’s nationality, type of passport, reason for visit, and travel history.
Necessary Paperwork for Japan Business Visa:

Current passport that is valid for at least 6 months beyond the visa’s validity, and has two blank pages for visa stamping.
Copy of a Residence Permit for EP, PR, DP, and S-Pass holders or Re-entry Permit for PR holders. If your employment pass has a QR code instead of an expiry date, please provide a printout of its validity and expiry status. This information can be obtained using the free SGWorkPass app (available on App Store and Google Play).
A certificate of employment from your employer or a Business Registration Profile from ACRA. Please see the example of a company letter for reference.

If there are multiple applicants, a list of all visa applicants.
If someone in Japan is covering the trip expenses, a guarantee letter from them.
For multiple-entry visas, a filled out Multiple Entry Request Form.
For multiple-entry visas, a certificate of income or tax return issued by a public agency.

Individuals holding Russian and other CIS passports need to submit 2 filled-out application forms along with 2 photographs.
All documents ought to be printed or copied onto A4-sized paper.
Distinguish each applicant’s documents by arranging them into separate sets.
Provide document photocopies as per our outlined specifications. Please be aware that once submitted, these documents will not be returned.
Refrain from using staples, pins, or paper clips on any of the documents.
